Lang war die Nacht, nun bin ich wach.
Hab wohl geträumt - schwer, wie es scheint -
war wie im Nebel, wie geknebelt,
atemlos.

Bin jetzt entpuppt, hab abgeschuppt
die alte Haut und mir erlaubt,
ich selbst zu sein. Es schrumpft das „Nein!“,
mein „Ja!“ wird groß.

Ich sing vergnügt, wieder besiegt
Leben den Tod.

Das Kreuz ist erblüht, ist vom Geist durchglüht,
wird zum Lebensbaum, wächst durch Zeit und Raum.
Leid verwandelt sich, und mit ihm auch ich.
